Today we present you a patient of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Toktashwho had emergency surgery on him a few months ago.
When his father approached us, he was absolutely immobile after a severe spinal injury and surgery in Bulgaria. On the nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, the doc saw that he had bone debris in his spinal cord and urgently ordered surgery. After a stay in the hospital and a lot of effort from the doctors and family, the patient came to Sofia to show us in person that he had started to take his first steps. We are immensely happy for him, wish him a speedy recovery and to see him soon without the walker.
