Read our manager Ms. Zvezdelina Lyutfi's interview in ”Career Barometer,“ a section of worktalent.com and Biser Kunchev.
"I am surrounded by people who share my work principles, and I hope that together we will achieve many more successes and help many people solve their health problems.., shares Zvezdelina Lutfi, my next guest in the segment.
Who is she?
Zvezdelina Lyutfi – owner and manager of Health Information Centre "Medical Karadži".
I am a highly qualified manager with experience in leading teams in various business sectors. For over 10 years, I have been developing the operations of our health center. Together with my team of medical coordinators, we organize treatment for Bulgarian patients abroad. We have successfully helped thousands of patients find the right solution to their health problems and many Bulgarian families with reproductive issues to hear the cries and laughter of children in their homes.
I have a wonderful family - two daughters, 11 and 7 years old. They are my greatest support and motivation to achieve even greater success.
At what age did you start working and receive your first payment?
I started working at the age of 14. I've done many things that have helped me grow, become responsible, and driven. I've always wanted to do something that would allow me to help people. I would define my current work as a mission. This is the direction that leads me to what is most important to me, which is to be useful to people with the knowledge and experience I have accumulated. My desire is to achieve a real positive change for Bulgarian patients.
Should we have a career development strategy to follow?
It is good for a person to have a development strategy. To be able to clearly define their goals, draw up a plan, and follow it persistently. The beginning is always difficult and full of many challenges. Every time is unique, and the most important thing is the inner satisfaction and peace of mind of each person. For me, the desire to continue wanting to learn and improve in order to be as useful as possible to the patients who contact me for help and assistance is important.

What do you think is the influence of our first job on shaping our career habits?
Our first workplace is certainly not where we'll end up for the rest of our lives, especially if we started working at a young age. But it's our first encounter with the work environment, the opportunity to work in a team, develop our communication skills, and build work habits. For me, the work we choose to do based on years of accumulated experience is more important. And the most important thing is to love that work, first and foremost because we chose it and should do it with enthusiasm and responsibility. I'm an absolute workaholic. I can work non-stop, and to some extent, it's because the health, and very often the lives, of the company's patients depend on what I do. I place great importance on a personal approach to every patient who turns to me and my team for help.
What events and specific people leave the biggest mark on our career development?
The people who have placed their trust in me, my knowledge, and my skills have left the biggest mark on my career development. My husband is my biggest support. Together with him, we are developing the company's activities more and more successfully and with great drive. Our work is extremely responsible and difficult. I am happy that my team works with the same professionalism and dedication as I do. I am surrounded by people who share my work principles, and I hope that together we will achieve many more successes and help many people solve their health problems.
It is clear that people learn from their mistakes, but what is the most appropriate reaction after making one?
The most correct reaction when a mistake is made is to take responsibility. Evading, looking for excuses, or trying to shift the blame onto other team members are unacceptable to me. It is normal to make mistakes. It is important to admit the mistake, express regret for any harm caused, and take steps to rectify what has been done. It is important to learn from mistakes and take precautions to avoid repeating these situations. Taking responsibility is mature behavior that helps us to be more successful and develop in the right direction.
