Prof. Dr. Junejit Turkmen, specialist in nuclear oncology and theranostic approaches in Memorial Şişli Hospital, Istanbul, was among the key speakers at the event organized by Medical Karaj.
In his very interesting presentation on "Theranostic Applications in Nuclear Oncology", he presented recent advances in the use of radionuclides for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer - an approach that combines precision diagnosis with targeted therapy in a single strategy.
Prof. Türkmen said that it was an honor for him to participate in the seminar and to meet the Bulgarian audience, who showed keen interest in the possibilities of the so-called terra-nostic medicine.
Through specific clinical examples, he demonstrates how radiopharmaceuticals and radioligand therapy are already contributing to better quality of life and disease control in patients with prostate cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, and other complex diagnoses.
