Our struggle began even before our little treasure was born, when cysts were discovered in her head. These brain cysts led to developmental delays and marked the start of a long journey in search of solutions. We visited numerous specialists and underwent a series of tests. Signs of epilepsy were found, caused by the presence of fluid in the brain cysts.
At just 5 months old, we began medication treatment aimed at preventing epileptic seizures related to cysts in the head. We have been undergoing rehabilitation since 3 months of age to improve muscle tone, as our child still cannot hold their head steady. They also cannot sit or roll over – challenges that persist to this day, now that they are a year and a half old.

Thanks to the professionalism and responsible attitude of the Medical Karadži team, our request for help was carefully considered. This enabled us to visit Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital. Further examinations and treatment were prescribed there, so that our son Krum could have a chance for a better and carefree childhood.
A translator met us at the hospital and stayed with us throughout the examinations, supporting us with every question. Thanks to this support, we left the hospital with hope for a better future. We received professional treatment, attention, and care there. Now we have clarity and a real chance for improvement.
What are cysts in the head and brain?
Cysts in the head and brain are fluid-filled cavities that can form in various parts of brain tissue. They can be congenital or acquired and vary in size and impact on health. In some cases, cysts are asymptomatic. When they grow or put pressure on brain structures, they can cause various neurological problems. These include developmental delays, seizures, muscle tone issues, and motor difficulties.
Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are key to improving the quality of life and development of children affected by this condition. Rehabilitation and medication therapy help to control symptoms and support normal development.
We express our immense gratitude to the entire Medical Karaj team, who are giving a chance for a new life to children with cysts in their heads and cysts in their brains.
