  • portable electronic devices and apparatus
  • Neuro Jet for transcranial neuroelectrical stimulation, which aims to accelerate the synthesis of natural endorphins in the patient's brain. This alleviates withdrawal symptoms
  • Xenon gas therapy device
  • computer equipment for audio-visual brain stimulation
  • integrator for eye movements

The clinic also uses other medical devices that significantly reduce drug cravings and improve and stabilize the mental state of patients.

A unique method to effectively reduce drug cravings

In the addiction clinic "Dr. Vorobyov" a unique method is used to effectively reduce drug cravings. In this method, in addition to sessions conducted with psychotherapists, the patient is influenced by special audio-visual information procedures. These are aimed at destroying the pathological interneuronal associations in the patient's brain to which the drug craving is due. The procedures are carried out only after the patient has been put into a state of medical sleep. Only then are these audio-visual signals able to penetrate deep enough into his brain and effectively influence the layers of the human psyche where patterns of behavior are formed. The goal is to erase addictive habits and enable the individual to regain control of thoughts and behavior.

Blockade with Naltrexone

Another therapy used in the addiction clinic is Naltrexone (Naltrexone) blockade. In this method, naltrexone effectively blocks the opioid receptors in the patient's brain and thus neutralizes the effects of opiates (heroin, morphine, etc.). Naltrexone became the subject of numerous studies and research studies conducted around the world, which conclusively proved its high effectiveness in terms of treating opioid addiction and reliable protection against relapse.

Maintenance therapy

Maintenance therapy is part of addiction treatment. The full course of this therapy consists of two phases. The first is inpatient treatment. The duration of this phase is individual to the needs of the patient. 10 days may suffice, but a 3 or 4 week stay may also be necessary. This is determined after diagnosing the degree of dependence and the measures needed to prevent it. The next second phase is outpatient treatment, which lasts one year. Once the desired results of inpatient treatment are achieved, the patient moves on to the outpatient phase. For this purpose, he sees a doctor from the hospital every month to ascertain his current physical and mental condition. The task of this phase is to maintain the patient's results for one year. During the examination, the doctor talks to the patient and his relatives to get information about his physical and mental condition during the past month. He performs tests for the presence of the drug in the urine and adjusts treatment if necessary. If negative changes occur: depression, uncontrollable behavior, drug cravings, sleep disturbances, etc., the patient should contact the clinic immediately.

The clinic successfully conducts:

  • Diagnosing the degree of dependence, consequences, personality changes and motivating the patient to stop using narcotic and psychotropic substances.
  • Detoxification. Treatment of withdrawal is very important. It is quick and painless, but individual for each patient. There are five main types of detoxification. During detoxification, the patient is medically supervised for 24 hours by intensive care experts. The clinic is equipped according to the standards of the OITR. During this phase, the following are used: a monitor system to monitor the patient's vital functions, oxygen therapy and respirators, automatic medication dispensing devices and a laboratory.
  • Treatment of mental dependence (drug craving). Drugs introduce a strong imbalance in the neurochemical mechanisms of emotion regulation. When an addict quits using opiates, they often experience the following symptoms: insomnia, mood swings, depression, persistent thoughts and an uncontrollable urge to consume addictive substances. In this situation, to stabilize the neurotransmitter structure we use pharmacotherapy, N.E.T therapy or audio-visual stimulation. Ibogaine therapy is a very powerful tool to help the patient realize his own mistakes and return to a normal lifestyle. Ibogaine helps in cases where community living, methadone or a psychologist have not helped.
  • The blocker treatment. The idea of blocker treatment is that the effects of opioids on receptors should be blocked, thanks to which drug re-uptake becomes impossible, i.e. everything is done to avoid both accidental and intentional drug taking. Naltrexone and disulfiram implants are available at the Dr. Vorobyov Clinic. After implantation, the patient is off opiates for good.
  • Support in the adaptation period. To achieve excellent results:
    • the patient is given recommendations regarding medical treatment
    • a treatment plan is made to prevent relapse
    • continued contact between the patient and the clinic after discharge
