On October 18, 2025, free informational meetings with transplant surgeon Prof. Dr. Burak Kocak will be held again in Sofia. His visit is by invitation of the Health Information Center „Medical Karadži“ and is aimed at patients seeking information about kidney transplantation opportunities and treatment for complex urological conditions abroad.
For Prof. Dr. Burak Koçak
With many years of professional experience, Prof. Koç is an internationally recognized specialist in kidney transplantation and minimally invasive surgery. Since 2018, he has headed the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Center at Koç University Hospital in Istanbul.
Among his professional achievements are:
- Performing transplants in adults and children;
- One of the few transplants in the world performed on a baby weighing under 6 kg.
- Robotic surgery for donor nephrectomy and transplantation;
- Complex urological diseases requiring an individual approach;
Prof. Koçak holds a renal and pancreatic transplant certificate from the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, as well as a urology qualification certificate in Turkey.
