  • Prof. Dr. Memet Özek was born in 1956 in Tübingen, Southwest Germany
  • He spent his education from 1968 to 1975 at the "Private International German School" in Istanbul (Deutsche Schule Istanbul).
  • From 1975 to 1981 he studied at the Istanbul Medical University /Faculty of Medicine/, where he received his Ph.
  • From 1987 to 1993 he specialized in brain and nerve surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of Hajitepe University, Turkey.
  • Immediately after completing his specialization, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Marmara
  • A little later (in 1999) at the same university he acquired the title "Professor"

  • 2000 - until now Prof. Dr. Memet Özek is practicing at Acibadem Hospital in the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery
