Prof. Dr. Khalil Joshkun was born in 1970 in Samsun. He completed his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine of Ankara University and became a general surgeon from 1987 to 1994 and specialized at the Faculty of General Surgery of Istanbul University between 1995-2000. He specialized in the USA, Cleveland Clinic Institute of Obesity and Metabolic Surgery in 2004-2007-2014 and in 2012 in the Center for Diabetic Surgery at Cornell Medical School in the USA. Prof. K. Joshkun continues to actively see patients at the Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Clinic of Liv Hospital Ulus, Istanbul. He has more than 30 years of experience in his field and has performed more than 4,000 laparoscopic bariatric surgeries.
