  • In 1991 and in the following years, he was a visiting fellow of the urology service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center,
  • He was an active member of the EORTC GU Group from 1994 to 2003,
  • From 2003 to 2004 he was a staff member at the University Clinic in Vienna under the direction of Michael Marberger,
  • In 2004 he was elected chairman of the Department of Urology at the Ordensklinikum in Linz,
  • From 2013 to 2015, he was President of the Austrian Society of Urology.
