Dr. Jean-Baptiste Martin graduated in medicine and did his internship in radiology in Marseille. In 1995, he joined Professor Rufenacht's neuroradiology team at the University Hospitals of Geneva, where, as head of the clinic, he developed minimally invasive pain management and introduced vertebroplasty (1995) and kyphoplasty (2001), as well as the first percutaneous treatment of disc herniation in Switzerland (2000). From 2003 to 2008, he continued to develop these techniques at the Générale Beaulieu Clinic, and until 2011 he was responsible for these procedures as an associate physician at HUG. From 2008 to 2016, he was involved in the creation of the radiology centres "Rive Droite" and "Rive Gauche", which were then reference centres for pain. In 2016, he decided to join the team of the "Jean-Violette" Medical Center and in 2018, together they opened a multidisciplinary outpatient space dedicated to pain management.
