CV and professional development

Dr. Guvenç Karlakaya was born in Düzce in 1967. He started his medical education at Istanbul Cerrahpaşa University, Faculty of Medicine in 1984 and graduated in 1991.

Between 1991-1992 he worked as a general practitioner in the Emergency Service of Düzce State Hospital. After passing the examination in 1992, he started his specialization in "Obstetrics and Gynecology", which he completed between 1994-1997 at Zeynep Kamil Hospital in Istanbul. Between 1997-2000, he worked as a research fellow in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at SUNNY - Brooklyn and Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, USA, and as an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at New York Medical College. He returned to Turkey in 2000 and continued his professional career at Istanbul Memorial IVF Hospital and Genetic Department until 2011.

Currently, Dr. Guvenç Karlakaya is a doctor at the Bahçeji Fulya In Vitro Clinic - Istanbul. Dr. Guvenç Karlakaya speaks Turkish and English.
