My son has had a papilloma in his eye for about 15 years. In Bulgaria, he was monitored by ophthalmologists throughout all these years. The growth in his eye started to become larger, thicker, and red. At every check-up, his treating doctor said that surgery was not necessary. Currently, it has a cystic structure and is not dangerous to degenerate into a malignant growth. Despite her opinion, we sought a second opinion at an eye clinic in Bulgaria. They were adamant that it needed to be operated on and removed from the eye. The method they proposed was, frankly, barbaric! I couldn't imagine allowing my child to go through all that pain.
And I started looking for a second opinion and treatment recommendations. In Bulgaria, I never found a competent doctor whom we could trust for an opinion and diagnosis. A friend of mine suggested I seek an opinion in Turkey. At first, I thought: absurd! This is not for us. Turkey requires money, and we don't have any. And I didn't know the way – how things happen. Together, we searched on the internet. First, I read in Facebook groups about treatment in Turkey – opinions, doctors suitable for our case. Then, on Google, the page of “Medical Karaj” Health Information Center appeared. I read about them organizing trips and assisting those in need of treatment.
The next day, I contacted them. That was my first conversation with the magnificent Antonia! A kind, understanding, and reassuring professional. We arranged for me to send the necessary documents so that the diagnosis could be reviewed and she could find the most suitable doctor for us. Her response was prompt. She acted very quickly and efficiently, all the while not only organizing our case but also alleviating my many worries. Very quickly, Antonia sent me treatment offers. We chose the one that was financially suitable for us.
Then Antonia assisted us with a consultation with Professor Arifoglu in Bulgaria. The meeting went wonderfully. She and the professor gave me even greater trust, hope, and faith that my child was in good hands. They proposed a completely different and painless method for removing the growth. We arranged a date for the surgery. The organization for the trip to Turkey, the hotel, the transfers, the translator – everything was organized by Antonia. Upon our arrival in Turkey, a car was waiting for us at the bus station to take us to the hospital. From there, the magnificent Shahinde took over! She assisted us with absolutely everything at the hospital. Along with organizing the child's preparation for surgery, she also took care of my peace of mind, for which I am extremely grateful.
The clinic's material resources are great, and the attitude, care, and professionalism of Professor Hasan and the nurses are at an exceptionally high level. The way they worked with my child, the patience they had when placing the IV, and overall – I was deeply impressed. Watching them filled my soul. The patient comes first for them – their peace and condition. The surgery went well. Professor Hasan informed Shahinde about the end and result of the surgery, which brought me even greater peace of mind and trust in him and my choice.
I don't want to forget to mention that the hospital also took care of food for my child and me, giving us huge and very delicious portions. After the surgery, my child didn't feel any pain. The anesthesia was local – he felt everything, but the most important thing is that he didn't experience pain after the surgery. It was performed extremely professionally. Shahinde also assisted us with transfers and the follow-up examination the next day!
In closing, I want to express my immense gratitude to the exceptional Antonia, Shahinde, Professor Hasan, and his wonderful sisters. I want to tell them that they are truly wonderful people and professionals who perform miracles – restoring hope, health, and happiness to people's souls! They are indispensable!
