Prof. Dr. Erdem Akbal was born in Kirikale, Turkey in 1978.

EDUCATION:

  • In 2002 he graduated from Ankara University Medical School
  • From 2003 to 2008, he conducted his specialization in internal medicine at Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Teaching and Research Hospital.
  • Between 2009 and 2012 - additional specialization in gastroenterology at the Teaching and Research Hospital - Ankara
  • In 2013, the specialist acquired the title "Associate Professor"
  • In 2015 - underwent training for advanced endoscopic procedures, in particular, endoscopic ultrasound, Johns Hopkins.
  • In 2017 - additional qualification in diagnostic endoscopy and manometry at the Amsterdam Medical Center
  • In 2018 he studied at Jichi Medical University, Japan, and in 2019 he obtained the title of Professor
