Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alanay was born in August 1964 in Antalya, Turkey.
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Alanay is an internationally recognized surgeon developing the specialty of Spine Care and contributing to the training of surgeons worldwide. He is the recipient of numerous national and international awards and has pioneered many cutting-edge techniques and new approaches in spine surgery.

Since 2012 prof. Ahmet Alanay is the founder and Director of the "Comprehensive Spine Center" at Acibadem Maslak Hospital, Istanbul and a lecturer at the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of Acibadem University, Istanbul.

Professional Experience:

  • In 2005-2006 prof. Prof. Alanay worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Nassetter University. Also, during this period he was a visiting professor at the University of California, Los Angeles.
  • From 2009 to 2012, the specialist worked at the Istanbul Billim University Faculty of Medicine and the Spine Center of Florence Nightingale Hospital.
  • Along with this, prof. Prof. Alanay is a lecturer in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Acibadem Medical University, which activity he continues to this day, along with expanding his research in this field.

Education:

  • In 1996. Prof. Dr. Alanay completed his training at the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Faculty of Medicine, Hacettepe University.
  • In 1998-1999, he received a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
  • In 2002. In 2002, Dr. Ahmet Alanay was awarded the title of Associate Professor and in 2007 he was awarded the title of Professor.
