What is it OncoSELECT?
OncoSELECT helps optimize treatment strategies for all advanced solid tumors from just two blood samples and matches patients with targeted therapies, hormone therapies, and potential clinical trials to improve patient outcome metrics. In which cases is it used OncoSELECT®?
OncoSELECT® is a minimally invasive alternative to comprehensive molecular profiling testing, used when a tumor biopsy is not possible or when tumor tissue quality and quantity criteria are not met. OncoSELECT® is a fast and gentle option for analyzing circulating tumor DNA from a blood sample.
In adult patients, OncoSELECT® is offered for all solid tumors that are in advanced stage 3 or 4 in cases of:
- Neoadjuvant therapy, for the purpose of obtaining information about response to treatment;
- If recurrence occurs after therapy, the test is used to analyze mutations that have arisen and are related to treatment resistance.;
- Before conducting first-line treatment, the study serves to assess disease heterogeneity.;
What does the OncoSELECT results include?
- Every received report contains medical information relating to the patient and their case.
- Results are included based on the analysis of 58 genes through exome sequencing of a panel of selected genes, targeted „hotspot” mutations, genes associated with translocations, unusual splicing, presence of SNVs, INDELs, and TERT promoter.
- Analysis of all active genetic variants and their classification according to globally recognized recommendations;
- The benefit of targeted or hormonal therapy in the case being studied;
- Details of all ongoing, relevant, and active clinical trials, including information on the drug development stage and its clinical benefit.
