What is the test?
The OncoSeek test is an innovation and works in a different way from conventional cancer testing. It involves a tandem and parallel analysis of tissue-specific protein tumor marker characteristics. The method has a number of advantages, including automation and objective quantitative determination, unlike histology, endoscopic procedures, and imaging diagnostics. In addition, through the use of controlled artificial intelligence, a more precise assessment of the tissue origin of the cancer is made.
This algorithm can analyze all these complex signals together, summarize them to identify the specific type of cancer, making the entire process faster, cheaper, and accessible to more people.
Specialized technology was used to identify 7 specific protein tumor markers in each individual's blood. Based on the quantitative results of the seven protein markers and clinical information such as sex and age, the OncoSeek algorithm was created, which distinguishes cancer patients from non-cancer patients and calculates the probability of having cancer.
The test combines qualities of being flexible, cost-effective, easily accessible, and feasible. OncoSeek is an effective and personalized approach for screening or aiding in the early identification of cancers by integrating the measurement of a panel of 7 selected protein tumor markers (AFP, CA125, CA15-3, CA19-9, CA72-4, CEA, and CYFRA21-1) and the individual's clinical information. The examination of these markers provides information and is the basis for the detection of the nine most common cancers: lymphoma, esophageal cancer, liver cancer, breast and ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer, and lung cancer.
