Prof. Dr. Jenk Ajjar is a urologist with experience in the surgical treatment of prostate cancer, kidney and bladder cancer, robotic surgery, and minimally invasive treatment of enlarged prostate.

He practices at the Hissar Intercontinental Hospital in Istanbul and heads the Department of Urology at Istanbul University „Atatürk“. He has completed specialized training in robotic and laparoscopic urological surgery at the Dutch Cancer Institute „Anton van Leeuwenhoek“.

According to his official biography, his surgical experience includes over 1,000 urological oncological surgeries, over 250 robotic surgeries, and over 500 laser prostate surgeries.

In 2017, he became the first urologist in Turkey to perform bipolar enucleation of the prostate. He also participated in the development of fluorescence visualization with ICG in urological surgeries.

Education and qualification

  • 2001 – Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ankara.
  • 2006 – Specialization in Urology, Gazi University, Ankara.
  • 2012 – Training in robotic and laparoscopic urological surgery, Dutch Cancer Institute.
