ERG is a painless and important test

Electroretinography / ERG assesses the function of retinal cells (rods, cones, and other structures) and helps detect damage even before visible changes occur in the fundus.

Indications for procedure:

  • Hereditary degenerative retinal diseases (e.g., Retinitis Pigmentosa)
  • Color vision defects and night blindness
  • Toxic retinal damage (e.g., from medications)
  • Diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular diseases
  • Assessment of retinal function after trauma or surgery

Electroretinography (ERG) is a painless and important examination, especially when progressive retinal diseases are suspected or when monitoring already diagnosed patients.
