On 9 and 10 June 2023 in the town of. The first of its kind international conference aimed at people on the autism spectrum was held in Sofia on June and June 2023. The event was attended by some of the most renowned doctors and scientists who have contributed to the development of modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods for children with autism. The conference was also attended by one of our leading doctors in stem cell therapy: prof. Erdal Karayoz , who presented his interesting presentation on: Autism spectrum: Is personalized mesenchymal stem cell therapy the future?
The conference was organized by the Tissue Bank "Bioregeneration" and the Balkan Association for Neuromodulation, Biofeedback and Neurofeedback (BASBN). The organization of this conference was prompted by the growing number of Bulgarian families seeking therapeutic ways to address behavioural and cognitive spectrum disorders in children with autism.
