Many thanks to our coordinator from IZ „Medical Karadzhí“
I have been diagnosed with degenerative myopia in both eyes, open angle glaucoma and optic nerve atrophy since I was a child. The diopter of my glasses was 22.
My condition had deteriorated to the point of only seeing silhouettes, seeing light, which was interfering with my ability to work.
In Bulgaria, the doctors told me there was nothing they could do to improve my condition.
Following an online consultation with Prof. Hasan Arıfoğlu, he suggested I have a thorough examination at the hospital. His recommendation after the examination was to undergo phacoemulsification (cataract surgery), which will improve my vision clarity despite the damaged nerve.
Soon after the examination I had the operation, and my diopter is now 0,5.
Many thanks to our coordinator from „Medical Karaj“ for handling my degenerative myopia – always kind, responsive, and compassionate! The hospital conditions are excellent, and the doctors and nurses are world-class. Thank you to our translator at the hospital and to Prof. Dr. Hasan Arıfoğlu for their professionalism! May they live long and healthy lives and help many more people!
